Check before attending a different sectionAnother listed section is not automatically an approved makeup. STAT 213 requires an in-person oral makeup before your next scheduled lab if you miss your assigned one.

Know what’s due and what earns points.

Track dated work separately from weekly participation. Final exam dates that are not confirmed stay marked as unscheduled.

Participation rules worth protecting

Small, repeating marks and the rules that affect how you can earn them.

STAT 213 · Top Hat (11%)

Questions are unannounced during lectures; each point is split between participating and answering correctly. No makeup questions.

Tier: 90%+ earns 11%; 70–<90% earns 8%; 50–<70% earns 6%; 30–<50% earns 3%; below 30% earns 0%.

STAT 213 · Lab activities (20%)

Ten marked activities are worth 2% each and must be completed in person in your assigned lab. Labs start in week 2; marked activities start in week 3.

If you miss one, arrange an in-person oral assessment before your next scheduled lab. Another section is not an automatic substitute.

STAT 213 · Assignments (24%)

Usually open two weeks early and allow four attempts: first three use the same question, fourth gives a new version. Up to 3 days late costs 10%. Test R by the end of week 4.

ECON 203 · Lecture polls (10%)

Answer in lecture. Missed polls cannot be made up; the lowest five scores are dropped, so save those drops for when needed.

ECON 201 · Achieve (5%)

Individual activity dates are posted separately. Check Achieve or D2L every week and treat each posted item as a deadline.

MATH 311 · Tutorials & quizzes (50%)

Six tutorial quizzes; best five count, at 10% each. Keep the one dropped quiz as a backup. Only T01 is listed in the supplied schedule.

Homework & assignment buffers

MATH 311: best 5 of 6 homework scores. ECON 203: best 2 of 3 assignments. Do every assignment so the drop remains available.

ECON tutorial attendance

The outlines do not list a separate tutorial attendance mark, but tutorials support assessed content. Ask before using a different section as a makeup.

ECON finals are course gates

ECON 201 and ECON 203 require a passing final to pass the course. Their course outlines say a stronger final letter grade may replace midterm weight if written.

PHYS 303 L01 · Quantum Mysteries and Paradoxes

Assignment 2 runs Oct 19–23. Assignment 3 is worth 35% and runs Nov 2–6. The final assignment runs Nov 23–27; all opening and closing windows are listed with times from your screenshot.

Other grading weights and the final exam date/time are still unconfirmed here; verify them in D2L and Student Centre.
